Peace Officer Memorial Day Ceremony

The Two Rivers Police Department held its annual observance of Police Officers Memorial Day Monday, May 15 at Noon, with a ceremony on the 22nd Street Bridge.

The 22nd Street Bridge has been designated the Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Bridge, in honor of the Two Rivers police officers who have died in the line of duty: Officer Leo Rocque in 1926 and Officer Thomas Dodge in 1975.

The ceremony was held at the river overlook located mid-span of the bridge, on the south (downriver) side of 22nd Street.
